JUST IN: An appeals court is allowing the enforcement of two Trump executive orders that sought to abolish diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs from the federal government.

A panel of three judges on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals found the Trump administration was likely to prevail in challenging a lower court’s ruling that Trump’s DEI executive orders — one abolishing DEI in government and another requiring that grant recipients not operate DEI programs — were unconstitutional.

A Biden-appointed judge, Jamal Whitehead, has blocked President Trump’s executive order that aimed to indefinitely suspend refugee admissions. 
The judge determined that this order likely violates the separation of powers by exceeding the executive branch’s authority.

Under the ruling, the Trump administration is legally required to permit millions of refugees into the United States without stoppage.

A federal judge in Washington on Friday handed Elon Musk's government efficiency team a win by declining a request to temporarily block it from accessing sensitive data from at least three federal agencies.

Unions and nonprofits attempted to stop Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing records at the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
