President Donald Trump has called for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to be abolished, saying that states should manage disaster response independently for greater efficiency and cost savings.
He accused FEMA of mismanaging disaster relief funds, disobeying orders, and favoring Democratic-led areas.
“FEMA spent tens of millions of dollars in Democrat areas, disobeying orders, but left the people of North Carolina high and dry,” Trump said in a Feb. 11 post on social media, adding that the agency under the previous administration was a “disaster” and “should be terminated.”

The "egregious payment" came about after they decided to go about "circumventing leadership" on the issue of payments of federal monies to sanctuary cities.
Fox News reported the firings come after Elon Musk explained on social media, "The DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants."

Elon Musk said Monday that his “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) team discovered that FEMA spent nearly $60 million to house illegal immigrants in “luxury” New York City hotels last week.
In response, acting FEMA Director Cameron Hamilton said the payments had been suspended, and the employees who authorized them would be disciplined.

Biden’s FEMA gave over $1 BILLION to NGOs who were focused on facilitating illegal immigration.

Notably, FEMA funneled money to the Red Cross, which was used to assist illegals in getting to the U.S. Mexico border, literally providing them MAPS to get to entry points.

In its latest year-end financial statement the USPS blames 80% of the fiscal year’s net losses on the “amortization of unfunded retiree pension liabilities and non-cash workers’ compensation adjustments” due to inflation.
